Description

A simple and delicious Margherita pizza made with fresh ingredients.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2¼ tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. Mix the yeast, sugar, and warm water in a bowl; let it sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Combine the flour, salt, and olive oil in a mixing bowl.
  4. Add the yeast mixture to the dry ingredients and knead until smooth.
  5. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  7. Spread tomato sauce evenly over the dough.
  8. Arrange the mozzarella slices on top of the sauce.
  9. Add fresh basil leaves and season with salt and pepper.
